Branching
Bartošová, Zuzana ; Jezbera, Ladislav (referee) ; Ambrůz, Jan (advisor)
In my bachelor work I am mostly focusing on wood and construction. I work with branching and layering information. Common for my work is the multiplication of one element. I deal with branching and an endless amount of possibilities. For the work, I chose branches from our gardens, which I cut in spring months to help the trees by harvesting some of them. I am using this useless material, which would be normally burned or composted naturally, to create an installation in the space of a sculpture studio. I am working with Site specific installation located precisely in this environment. I created a spiral made of these branches, for which I have built the construction from found pieces of wood. The massive structure becomes a full-fledged part of the installation. During creating of the construction there are appearing new environments inside the installation and in a way, a new reality. Installation is growing towards the alcove window. It can symbolize the difficult climbing, complicated journey to the destination and the chaos of the mind. At first glance it seems to be a chaotic construction, however it has its order and each part has a function. The individual pieces of wood are built orthogonally screwed together to a massive form which supports the spiral. I created a unified work, which is connected and complemented.
The symbolism of the tree in the profane architecture around 1500
FIALOVÁ, Tereza
This master's thesis, entitled Symbol of the Tree in Profane Architecture around 1500, is based on the bachelor's thesis by Tereza Fialová. The bachelor thesis dealt with the so-called tree chamber in Bechně Castle and focused on unique naturalistic decorations. This thesis follows on from the previous research and takes an in-depth look at the phenomenon of astwerk and attempts to understand the preference for dissimilarity that it evokes. The thesis explains the theme of tree symbolism and the appearance of plant forms in profane architecture. The considerable of the text focuses on finding connections between the natural forms and classical architectural treatises. The these sis concluded with the list of monuments of Central European architecture around 1500 that used a naturalistically rendered tree with branches in various forms.
Flow in Branched Channel
Uruba, Václav ; Procházka, Pavel P. ; Skála, Vladislav
Flow in a branched channel is investigated experimentally using the PIV method. The branches are issuing from the main cannel perpendicularly, all channels are of rectangular cross-section. The time-mean flow-fields in the main channel and in the branches are studied in details.
Numerical and experimental investigation of parallel flows in the branched channels
Novotný, Jaroslav ; Uruba, Václav ; Procházka, Pavel P. ; Skála, Vladislav
The flow filed inside a main channel with 13 parallel outlets was investigated numerically and also experimentally by PIV method. The formulas were derived and a program in Fortran programming language was introduced to solve turbulent flow described by N-S equations and by various models of turbulence. K-epsilon model without wall functions is the best match with the experiment. \n\n
The Astwerk like late gothic natural decor in Bohemian lands with interatinal kontext.
Škrancová, Markéta ; Sojka, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Jarošová, Markéta (referee)
The Astwerk like late gothic natural decor in Bohemian lands with international kontext Abstract The diploma thesis presents introduction to problems of naturalistic dekor and use of the motif cut branches / astwerk in Bohemian lands. The focus will be primarily using in the field of sculpture of stone. There will be explained starting area use of astwerk decor, way to the Bohemian lands and Moravia, followed by the development of a retreat in the context of the Renaissance. After a critical review of the literature the work will indicate a chapter on cultural-historical context. The situation in the Bohemian lands after the Hussite wars will be introduced, when in insecure religious circumstances was chosen King Vladislav Jagiello in Kutna Hora, and so begins a new period of prosperity of the country again. The subchapter is a courtly art especially during the reign of Vladislav Jagiello. In this part there are presented foremost works and their authors also including B. Ried. In this...
Direct Current Electronic Circuits Editor
Elis, Martin ; Kopřiva, Jan (referee) ; Kunovský, Jiří (advisor)
The main task of this work was to develop a simple intuitive editor of electrical circuits able of analysis its designed schemes. Application should be designed as a supporting studying material for students of circuit theory course for better understanding of learned techniques for solving electrical circuits. That's why implemented analysis should stand with procedures of solving electrical circuits, which are taught in this course, concretely mesh-current analysis and node-voltage analysis. Another important task was development of transparent structure for electrical schemes storing in xml format. The last objective was to compare efficiency of this application and similar programs for solving electrical circuits.

NOVÁKOVÁ, Monika
The topic of this bachelor work is aimed on the analysis of values of return, risk and liquidity, which are connected with investment to securities. For this analysis was chosen five branches and in each branches were seven European countries.
Development of investment patterns of the sectoral point of view in the Czech republic in comparison with the EU
BERKOVÁ, Lenka
The thesis is focused on the development of investment patterns of the sectoral point of view in comparison with the EU and selected member countries. The aim of the thesis is to bring the industrial structure of gross fixed capital formation in the Czech Republic and compare the founded results with those for the European Union and selected EU member states. The theoretical part deals with basic facts about investment, what they represent, how they are distinguished and what is the importance in the national economy. The practical part deals with the structure of investments in the Czech Republic in terms of material and sectoral in the form of graphs and tables. Then there is noted the comparison of the Czech Republic data with the EU and selected member countries in the shares of total investment to GDP, gross fixed capital formation by industry structure and investment by institutional sectors.
